- Program – Project
New Me! is a pilot project that will support a collective of female migrants who are waste collectors and street vendors in Hanoi through training on business start-up, marketing skills, and financial management skills. New Me! will support the targeted women to use these new skills to develop business plans for the trade of used goods, and by facilitating ‘pop-up’ markets for the sale of second-hand goods.
“Self-help group model for Street vendors and Waste collectors” project support migrant workers receive better social welfare services and voice their opinions on political issues. The project is implementing by LIGHT and Women’s Union at all level, funded by Oxfam in Vietnam.
LIGHT is a non -governmental , non-profit activities and for humanitarian purposes, registered under the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Association (VUSTA) and work permit No. A190 of Ministry of Science and Technology . LIGHT committed to participate in the community development , improve people ‘s health and contribute to support the government in the formulation and implementation of policies to improve the quality of life for the people of Vietnam.
